World Book Day

Every year the pupils of St. Ursula’s celebrate World Book Day. Children (and the occasional teacher!) come to school dressed up as their favourite character from a story. Everyone puts in a great effort!

Lots of reading-based activities take place such as ‘buddy reading’ between junior and senior classes or children presenting books and stories that they wrote themselves.

Everyone looks forward to Assembly when we have a World Book Fashion Parade across the stage!

All pupils receive a book voucher that they can reclaim against the purchase of a book in local bookshops.
